Feuerbach Designworksis a relatively new company, so don't feel bad if you never heard about it. It was founded in 2019 by Christopher Reitz, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche. Reitz has a long history with cars: he worked as Design Director for Alfa Romeo and Maserati and was Chief Designer for Nissan Europe and Fiat. So, what's with the weird name of the company? Well, Feuerbach is the name of the street in Stuttgart, Germany where Porsche started its business.

Feuerbach is determined to become a name on the market by building "ultra-performance, hand-built, ultra-low volume sporting road supercars," and the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe is the first of them. It will be built in limited numbers, and it won't come cheap.

What does the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe look?

The GTL Coupe is a derivative of the Porsche 911 GT3 - the 997 generation, but it features a unique, more aggressive design look. The first teaser images released by the company reveal wider rear fenders, a different engine cover, and modified taillights. There is no image of the front just yet, but one thing is for sure: carbon fiber will play an essential role in building the body.

There is also only one image of the interior, and while it reveals the use of modern materials, like carbon fiber leather and Alcantara, it also gives the sensation of a classic car. Just look at that gear lever! Feuerbach announced that customers will be able to customize the interior according to their personal wishes. It can even be updated with a roll bar for track use, in which case you can also go for more efficient brakes.

What will power the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe?

Since the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe is based on the 911 GT3, it will be powered by the same engine. But while the GT3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, in the GTL the displacement has been increased to 4.3-liters. Output also goes from 502 horsepower up to 540 horsepower. Feuerbach is also offering its customers the possibility to go for a turbocharged engine, and to increase power and torque.

The model will be built on a Porsche chassis platform and will be offered with a carbon fiber body built by the Reitz company in Barcelona. This combination should provide an excellent power-to-weight ratio. The GTL comes standard with a manual transmission, but it will also be offered, as an option, with a paddle-shift automatic.

How much does the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe cost?

The new Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe will be priced at $550,000 before options. Only 25 units will be built, so very few people will get to enjoy one.
