The ‘Carwow’ team brought three SUVs to the drag strip. One was the Lamborghini Urus, the other the Tesla Model X, and the surprise contender, the Brabus 850
The Brabus 850 is based on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe. It comes with a mighty 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine under the hood. It puts out 850 horsepower and a massive 1,069 pound-feet of torque!
The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that makes 650 ponies and 627 pound-feet of oomph
As for the Tesla Model X Performance it comes with a dual-motor setup that makes 670 horses and 715 pound-feet of twist
The Brabus is pretty heavy, tipping the scales at 5,181 pounds. It is heavier than the 4,844-pound Urus, but is almost 500 pounds lighter than the 5,670-pound Model X
In the drag race, the Model X shot off the line and the Urus followed. The Brabus, shockingly, came third here despite being the most powerful of the lot. Not the best outing for it with these other powerful SUVs
The next round was a roll race from 30 mph. The ICE cars were slotted in the second gear and were locked in their sportiest settings. At kickdown, the Model X rocketed off. The Urus was flat, but the Brabus did better than the drag race and came second
The final round was the brake test from 100 mph. The Urus stopped in the shortest distance, followed by the Tesla, and finally the Brabus
