The Bugatti Divo was unveiled back in 2018, but because production of the Chiron and its version is bespoke, the French carmaker has yet to assemble and deliver all 40 units. Production of the Divo began recently, but with Bugatti's factory closed off due to the coronavirus pandemic, customers might not get their cars for a while. To keep things interesting, Bugatti is now showing off four builds commissioned by Divo buyers. These are just computer-generated images, but they illustrate the wide range of possibilities inside and out, as well as the fact that all 40 examples will be unique.

The Bugatti Divo can be subtle or in your face

The four cars shown here are quite different when it comes to paint jobs. The first is finished mostly in yellow, but it features a matte black bottom and matching center stripe on the front hood and the roof. The flashy exterior is combined with a more subdued interior that all-black but highlighter by yellow inserts on the seats.

BThe stripes on the roof start next to each other at the top of the windscreen but spread toward the rear of the roof and then descend on the edges of the engine hood. The blue and red pattern trickles inside the cabin. The steering wheel has a blue handle on the left and a red one on the right; there's a red instrument cluster hood, as well as a blue passenger dashboard. The seats feature a three-tone finish with white Alcantara between the red seating surface and the blue leather top and sides.

The third car is similar to the first one, but with silver instead of yellow at the top and blue instead of black at the bottom. This model also features blue louvers on the front fenders, the French flag on the side skirts, and blue mirror caps and wing. The interior is a classy combination of black and silver-like grey to match the exterior.

Finally, the fourth car features a white top and a dark grey bottom. It also comes with a French flag on the side skirts, but it also features red accents on the front fender louvers, the roof, and the rear fin. The top of the mirror caps are dark grey, like the lower section of the body. The interior is almost entirely blue, with exceptions coming from the grey center slack and console and black and silver inserts on the door panels.

The Bugatti Divo is almost fully customizable

According to Bugatti sales coordinator Anne Beynat, customers can add their own logos, family crests, and special color schemes. These usually take longer to implement, and everything is done with approval from the customer. However, changes that compromise the car's integrity and safety features, as well as those that alter the Bugatti logo aren't allowed. When it comes to the cabin, the Divo can be fitted with any type of leather or completely different materials altogether.

The Bugatti Divo is incredibly expensive, but it's sold out

The Divo is one of the most expensive cars ever produced. The supercar starts from €5 million (about $5.4 million as of May 2020) before options, so it could easily fetch €6 million (about $6.5 million) once those special requests are made. But this ludicrous sticker didn't stop the French firm from selling all 40 examples real quick. That's a whopping €200 million (about $217 million) for the brand, and I'm not even including the options that every single customer will want. Granted, this isn't all profit, but it goes to show that the exclusive and expensive supercar market is in full bloom.

The Bugatti Divo isn't the only bespoke model based on the Chiron

The Divo is just one of several bespoke supercars based on the Chiron that Bugatti launched or is planning to launch soon. The company already unveiled and sold the one-of-a-kind La Voiture Noire, and it also released the Centodieci. The latter is a tribute to the EB110, and it's being produced in just 10 units.
