Mat Watson from ‘Carwow’ conducted a very different kind of race recently. He didn’t have any fancy cars this time. Instead, he drag-raced a Citroen Ami against a scooter, an e-bike, and two remote control cars. No prizes for guessing which one of these won, but this incredibly fun race will leave you in splits.

The Ami Makes Eight Horses, And The Others, Fewer Than One HP!

The Ami weighs around 1,070 pounds, whereas the scooter weighs 40 pounds.

They race and the Citroen beats it quite comfortably, obviously. The Ami took 35 seconds to complete the quarter-mile in the other, so we assume it to be the same for the first race as well, whereas the scooter took one full minute.

The Ami then faced a GoCycle E-Bike that comes with a front-mounted electric motor. It weighs 36.4 pounds, making it lighter than the scooter as well. The bike needs to be pedaled and then the electric motor comes into play to assist it. In this race, the GoCycle took 37 seconds, just two seconds short of the Ami’s 35-second time.

Next up, the Citroen Ami faced two remote control cars. The drivers of the RC cars sat alongside Mat in the Ami and controlled it from there. This race was inconclusive, with one of the cars crashing into a cone and the other getting crushed by the Ami… quite literally!
