Obviously, you know that a new Batman movie is coming – we’ve even written about how the Batmobile looks like a crazy blend between a muscle car and a mid-engined supercar. That news was published after Matt Reeves posted a handful of dark teaser images that were revealing enough but didn’t show us everything. Now, the new Batmobile has been caught on camera during the day and, well, you just have to see it.
This Is the New Batmobile, And It’s Awesome
Naturally, comic book and superhero fans alike are stoked for the new Batman movie. Like all car fans, though, all of us here at Topspeed are equally as stoked because a new Batman movie means a new Batmobile.
This video was apparently taken during a set, and we finally get a much better look at the rear end. As you can see, the rear engine bay is still really exposed, and there’s an interesting taillight cluster that also features a third brake light. The huge afterburner in the middle is flanked by a pair of big exhaust outlets. On top of this, we can also confirm that there are at least two new Batmobiles in existence – the primary movie car and one that will likely serve as a stand-in – that’s the one with no engine.
With the previous teasers, the tweet you see above of a Batmobile model, and this new spy video, we can say without a doubt that it’s going to be the most aggressive Batmobile in history. In fact, it’ll probably end up being the coolest because there’s no way this car isn’t absolutely badass with that massive engine hanging out the rear.
As for when you’ll get to see it on the big screen in all its glory, that’s going to be a bit.
