The fact that Batman doesn’t possess superpowers forces him to rely on various gadgets to hunt down and kick the living daylight out of his foes. One such gadget is the popular Batmobile, a mean-ass war machine that has evolved dramatically with every new Batman installment. But we never thought a Swarovski-made Batmobile would be the byproduct of the said evolution.

Mind you, this is not a toy

Indeed, Swarovski mentions that its shiny Batmobile is not a toy and that it’s not suitable for children under 15. How about 30-year-old-and above children, then? Because we surely want it on our desk right now, yet there’s something holding us back: the price tag.

The brand plans to sell just 200 such sparkling models around the world, which would make “an amazing gift for Batman and DC fans and collectors.”

At the same time, this is not the only Batmobile sold by Swarovski, after the company came up with a similar decor piece, yet less fancy. It’s made of jet black crystals and is way waaay cheaper at $500 (but not available online), while this one takes a more flashy approach, since it’s decorated with 16,000 hand-set crystals that sparkle under light.

Just like many of the brand’s products, this Batmobile’s jewels were set in the Swarovski Pointiage technique, which means they were applied by hand and not by using prongs and glue; hence the hefty price tag.

Size-wise, the figurine measures 2 3/4 inches by 10 5/8 inches by 5 1/2 inches. It also features black rubber tires and polished metal parts - see the rims and the jet engine up front.

In the meantime, have a look at the new Batmobile that's set to appear in Matt Reeve's new Batman movie starring ex-Twilight Robert Pattinson.
