Gran Turismo 7 is arguably one of the most highly-anticipated racing games of the year, and Toyota Spain has partnered with Sony for the creation of this special edition Toyota Yaris. Called the Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition, this special-edition model comes with a few special touches that distinguish it from the standard Yaris.

Using the Yaris GR Sport as a base canvas, the GT7 Edition gets a sportier front end with its honeycomb grille, a faux rear diffuser, and 18-inch alloy wheels with new machined red segments. In addition to the obligatory GR badges of this variant, the limited-edition hatch will also come with GT badging around the vehicle.

Inside, the Yaris GR Sport comes with GR sports seats and steering, a plethora of red stitching, GR engine start button, plus other details that are unique to this GT7 Edition model, namely an interior nameplate with a limited serial number, as well as a personalized smart key fob.

More importantly, this special edition model will come with a PlayStation 5 console and a physical copy of Gran Turismo 7. In addition, a second DualSense wireless controller and a three-month subscription to PlayStation Plus will also be offered.

Fitted to this Yaris GR Sport is a hybrid system that consists of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that put out a combined output of 114 horsepower, though Toyota does not provide total torque figures for its hybrids. This drives the front wheels via an eCVT.

Only 100 of these cars will be produced, but one of those will be a prize for the second edition of the Spanish Gran Turismo Championship. The winner of this e-sports event will bring home a brand-new Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition.

Sony's partnership with Toyota Spain also extends to their upcoming one-make racing event called the Toyota Gazoo Racing Iberian Cup. The event is also in collaboration with Toyota Caetano Portugal and the Motor & Sport Institute (MSi). This racing event will use the Toyota GR Yaris RZ that's been prepared for this competition.

The Toyota Yaris GR Sport GT7 Edition will go on sale in Spain on March 4, the same date when Gran Turismo 7 will also be released. Pricing has not yet been announced for this special-edition Yaris.
