GT-R, three letters, that when out together, really need no introduction
Mat Watson from Carwow, along with his team, has come up with some renders on what they think the next-gen R36 GT-R could look like
Now let's face it, the R35 is a little long in the tooth now, having debuted more than a decade ago in 2007, a new one is imminent and there are multiple sources from Japan that can confirm this
Carwow thinks that the R36 will draw a lot of inspiration from the Nissan Vision 2020, featured in the hit game Gran Tursimo
But it is the backend where things get really interesting with these signature quad taillights, which look like they're similar to what we've seen on the current Ford GT
Now depending on when you grew up, you have your own favorite generation of the GT-R.
Being a millennial myself, I love the R34 having seen it in the Fast and Furious series and raced with the car in several videos games
Mat meanwhile swears by the R33
If Nissan pairs the 3.8-liter V-6 engine along with the 217 hp motors found on the Ariya, the next flagship could have a power output north of 700 horses
Whichever way Nissan decides to go, the next GT-R will have some big shoes to fill, as it will have to be the cut-price supercar that eats 911 Turbos all day. That's what made the R35 so popular.
Swipe up to watch Mat Watson give you a run down on every generation of the Nissan GT-R.
