Mat Watson and his team from ‘Carwow’ have taken the drag race game to the next level. The team managed to get not one, not two, but six different cars for a drag race! To make it even more interesting, all the cars belong to the Audi stable and stretch right from a five-pot RS3 to a V-10 R8. There is the most powerful Audi in the mix as well. Makes for one hell for a race, doesn’t it?

Six Cars With Very Different Personalities

Power is routed to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

It is mated to a two-speed gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

An eight-speed automatic gearbox powers all four wheels here.

It is also mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

It also comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

The mill is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Here’s how much each car weighs:

RS3 – 3,461 pounds (1,570 kilos)R8 V-10 Performance – 3,516 pounds (1,595 kilos)RS5 – 3,804 pounds (1,742 kilos)RS6 – 4,575 pounds (2,075 kilos)RSQ8 – 5,104 pounds (2,315 kilos)RS e-Tron GT – 5,174 pounds (2,347 kilos)

The Races Were Quite Unpredictable

As expected, the EV got off the line the quickest. The RS5 and the RS6 were chasing it next, whereas the other three didn’t have the best starts. The cars did change positions by the time they hit the finish line, and this is how each car was placed:

- First – RS E-Tron GT

- Second – RS6

- Third – R8

- Fourth – RS5

- Fifth – RSQ8

- Sixth – RS3

They raced again, but the R8 still didn’t launch well. In fact, the supercar was well behind the others for the first half of the race. Things did change in the second half, and here’s the result of this race:

- First – RS E-Tron GT

- Second – RS6

- Third – RSQ8

- Fourth – R8

- Fifth – RS5

- Sixth – RS3

They engaged in another standing drag race to see if the R8 could do any better. As it turns out, it couldn’t. It almost took down the RSQ8 for the third position, but the latter had its nose ahead at the finish line. The cars finished in the same order as the second race, and we got the timings as well:

- First – RS E-Tron GT – 11.1 seconds

- Second – RS6 – 11.3 seconds

- Third – RSQ8 – 11.6 seconds

- Fourth – R8 – 11.6 seconds

- Fifth – RS5 – 11.7 seconds

- Sixth – RS3 – 11.8 seconds

The cars then took part in rolling races. The first one was from 50 mph with the cars in comfort settings and gearbox locked in the automatic mode. The RS E-Tron GT and the RSQ8 had fantastic kickdowns. The R8 V-10 wasn’t too far behind either. In fact, the supercar reeled in the EV before the half-mile. The RS E-Tron GT then topped out at 165 mph, which gave the RSQ8 a chance to put its nose ahead. It got very close in the end, so we’ll let you decide which car won here. Here’s how each car did at the end of the mile:

- First – R8

- Second – RS E-Tron GT/RSQ8

- Third – RSQ8/RS E-Tron GT

- Fourth – RS6

- Fifth – RS5

- Sixth – RS3

The second rolling race was also from 50 mph, but this time in sportiest settings and the gearbox locked in manual mode. The R8 did much better here, beating the RS E-Tron GT by the time it touched 130 mph. The RSQ8 couldn’t get past the RS E-Tron GT this time and had to stay content with the third position. But, overall, all the results were very similar to the previous race:

- First – R8

- Second – RS E-Tron GT

- Third – RSQ8

- Fourth – RS6

- Fifth – RS5

- Sixth – RS3

The last round was the brake test from 100 mph. The difference between some of the cars was massive, and some, as little as it can get. Here’s how they performed, with the first position given to the car that stopped in the shortest distance and the last place to the car that took the longest distance to stop.

- First – RS6

- Second –RSQ8

- Third – R8

- Fourth – RS E-Tron GT

- Fifth – RS5

- Sixth – RS3
