Games, set up in the dystopian future give room for some incredible designs. More often than not, they serve as inspiration to digital designers to create some truly epic stuff, based on existing models. This is exactly the case with this rendering of a Toyota A70 Supra, done by Dom Höst, also known as altered_intent, and vaguely resembles its former self.

While every generation of Toyota Supra is special in its own right, the third one, also known as the A70 Supra, is somewhat overlooked, because it didn’t have the 2JZ engine from the beginning. A dystopian future implies both material wear as well as futuristic design elements, and this rendering combines them in a spectacular way while giving us an idea of what a Toyota Supra shooting brake would look like.

This immediately takes me back to games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Mad Max, although the wear and tear aren’t nearly enough for the latter. The car is also too slammed to be able to function in the desert (where the Mad Max game and most movies take place), but we do see the miss-matched exterior panels that look like they are in desperate need of a new coat of paint and the bumper, which is a different color altogether.

The bodywork features a lot of extra bits, similar to the more utilitarian vehicles from Cyberpunk 2077. It definitely looks like an old Japanese sports car that has been hot-rodded. I personally would have preferred some ground clearance, but that’s just me being picky. Words really don’t do the car any justice, so check out the gallery and tell us what you think. Could this eventually turn into a new trend, similar to what we have seen with rat-rods?
