The Cadillac Escalade has hit rough patches throughout its life. It never really succeeded in the market, but it never clocked in volume low enough to be called off. The 2021 Escalade seems to be a mighty improvement over its predecessor and features a lot of niceties. In terms of off-roading capabilities, it will be a step above the current-gen, but it’s not an off-roader by any means. However, an Instagram user has transformed the SUV to conquer paths less traveled, and it’s a little weird.
What Does The Off-Roading Escalade Look Like?
Instagram user Timothy Adry Emmanuel, who goes by the name adry53customs, has digitally transformed the upcoming Cadillac into a mighty beast.
The rendering is equipped with a lift kit that raises it a lot higher off the ground when compared to the standard Escalade.
It rides on huge off-road tires with snow chains wrapped around them. The SUV is covered in dirt and mud to make it look all the more realistic. The rendering seems to be based on the Premium Luxury trim and features additional mirrors on the fenders.
What Do We Know About The 2021 Cadillac Escalade?
The 2021 Escalade is loaded to the gills in terms of features. It will come with a 38-inch OLED diagonal display on the dash that is said to have twice the pixel density of a 4K television. It also comes with stuff Super Cruise, 36-speaker audio system, and so on. Under the hood, the Escalade will carry over the 6.2-liter, V-8 mill that makes 420 horses and 460 pound-feet of torque.
A 3.0-liter, six-cylinder Duramax mill will be available as well. It makes 277 ponies and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both the mills will be mated to a 10-speed Hydra-Matic transmission. There were rumors of a 4.2-liter, twin-turbo LTA DOHC V-8 mill finding its way under the hood as well, but that didn’t capitalize. It’s the same mill found under the hood of the CT6-V sedan as well. The towing ratings were also leaked. It can tow up to 8,200 pounds with the larger block and 8,000 with the Duramax mill. As for the 2021 Escalade’s pricing, it starts at $77,490, $1,000 more than the outgoing Escalade.
