This Widebody Supra Has Fast and Furious Written All Over It
It completely transforms the look of the Supraby Alina Moore, on
When Toyota announced the relaunch of the Supra name, everyone was hoping that the legendary “Fast and Furious” spirit of the A80 would also be revived. Of course, many people ended up disappointed when they realized that the new Supra is nothing more than just a rebadged BMW Z4. But, where Toyota failed, tuners are trying to make things right and some of them really end up making the Supra looking like it is ready to play a leading role once again.
Take this widebody kit from Rocket Bunny, for example. It completely transformed the look of the Supra to the point that it’s no longer a boring sports coupe but an aggressive car that seems ready to take on any supercar out there.
Changes start up front, and they just feel natural. It all started with attaching an extended front splitter to the standard bumper and continued with adding a new set of flared wheel arches – a change that made the Supra both wider and more aggressive. There is also a new pair of black side skirts that bring the ride closer to the ground.
In the back, the guys over at Rocket Bunny added the same flared wheel arches, but with some additional air vents for better cooling of the engine. The exterior look is completed with a huge rear wing, a unique rear diffuser, and a very cool-looking lip spoiler. In fact, all these exterior changes kind of remind us of the anniversary GR Supra GT4 "50 Edition" announced back in February.
This cool update wouldn’t be complete without the proper wheels. Rocket Bunny turned to Strasse for a cool set of wheels, sized 19×10 at the front and 19×12 at the rear. They feature Satin Gunmetal centers and gloss black lips and barrels.
The exterior look is complemented by a cool gloss silver finish combined of course with various black elements. If it wasn’t for the silver paint, this body kit would have looked a lot like the one announced by Avante Design last year.
Unfortunately, Rocket Bunny made no changes under the hood, meaning the car will be offered with the same engine. We are talking about the turbocharged, 3.0-liter inline-six engine shared with the BMW Z4 that delivers a total of 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of twist. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in 4.1 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155 mph.
