It’s that time of the year again, when colorful lights shine to brighten the night, kids listen for the sound of sleigh bells, and the smell of burnt rubber lingers in the air. At least that’s the holiday season we like, and it would appear as though Lotus agrees with this Christmas-themed video featuring the Evora GT410 Sport sliding around for a drift-tastic tree delivery.

Not Exactly A Silent Night?

According to the attached press release, “the engineering elves at Lotus wanted an ingenious way to transport a Christmas tree using an Evora GT410 Sport,” and well, it looks like mission accomplished.

“While most Christmas trees travel strapped to roof racks or stuffed in car boots, Lotus knew it could do it differently with carbon fiber, a little welding, and a lot of burning rubber,” the automaker explains.

It’s a quick watch, with two minutes of fun to get you in the spirit of the season. The whole thing was filmed at Lotus HQ in Hethel and shows the lightweight sports car slinging around the soggy tarmac with consummate skill, bobbing and weaving around the facility in gymkhana-style awesomeness.

Hit play, and make sure to watch out for cameo appearances from the ’73 Lotus 72E Formula 1 car, the James Bond Espirit Submarine Car, and the Lotus 108 Pursuit Bike.

Hey Lotus - how about making this a yearly tradition?
