Any doubts or questions on whether or not Top Gear USA would have its very own Stig after the whole Ben Collins controversy rocked its UK counterpart may have finally been answered. And we have Tony Hawk and Twitter to thank for it.

This photo was published by Hawk himself in his Twitter account that shows him mugging it on the camera with The Stig himself. They look good together, don’t you think? And unless our eyes deceive us, that car just outside the US Stig’s window looks a lot like an Aston Martin V12 Vantage.

Tony Hawk, US Stig, and a V2 Vantage in the same photo? Top Gear USA’s looking like it’s spending its resources wisely.

We still don’t know who’s inside that familiar white suit and helmet, even though we have heard rumors that it’s Williams F1 driver Rubens Barrichello, but seeing a US Stig on Top Gear USA is a big plus for the show.

Let’s just hope that whoever’s inside that suit and helmet doesn’t have plans of writing an autobiography anytime soon.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More
