The first episode of Top Gear->ke1860’s 15th season was made memorable because of James May’s escapades on that Icelandic volcano whose name is so utterly difficult to pronounce that we won’t even bother to spell it here.

(Eyjafjallajökull. That’s the name. Journalistic integrity got the better of us.)

Unfortunately for us, the whole trek to the mouth of the volcano had to be cut short due to time-constraints on the show. So, to appease our clamoring for more scenes of May’s trip, they’ve released video outtakes on their website, much to our delight.

In this video, May ends up cooking lamb chops using the volcanic ash and lava spewed by the volcano as his version of charcoal. To our surprise, the lamb chops really did get a good cooking, although we probably wouldn’t be caught dead eating a piece of that, unless of course, dying is what we’re after. In that case, we’d gladly take a bite out of that lava-cooked piece of grade-A meat.
