Looks like Mr. Balboni’s special-edition Gallardo is going to have an offspring of its own.

After already presenting its long-time test driver, Valentino Balboni, with his own special-edition Gallardo, reports are suggesting that the Sant’Agata-based automaker is already at work preparing a spyder version of the Lamborghini supercar with this recent spy video, courtesy of our friends over at Auto Motor und Sport, of the Gallardo romping it up at the Nurburgring. This little tasty offering serves as proof that this car is more than just a figment of our collective imaginations.

Lamborghini has not made any official announcements on the car so nothing is official yet on the spyder version of Valentino Balboni’s Gallardo LP550-2, although from what we’ve heard, it looks like the car could – at the very least – be headed to an auto show at the latter part of the year with a distinct possibility that it could end up being at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Until then, we’ll keep you posted on any updates surrounding this new special-edition raging bull.

Am also dreaming of having my own name used to any kind of vehicles. When it happens, am going to test drive and invite everyone to check it out.

How cool of them to name a car after their test driver! Porsche should do the same. I want to see a 911 GT2 Rohl smiley

Even though you can see that the front do not have much to offer(I mean in design) you should see the entire body and hear how it roars so you can explain how good this car can be.

I’m still waiting for the Gallardo LP600 Superleggera, although this one seems to be a great thing to drive.

Pretty much one of the coolest jobs ever. You can see he is really touched and happy to have the car named after him. This is definitely the Gallardo to own.
