Now that we have officially seen the Porsche Boxster, the next model to arrive will be the Cayman. Our impatience for the debut has gotten the better of us again, so we have released a rendering of the future sports car in its Cayman S version.

The new Cayman will feature a longer wheelbase that will provide for a roomier interior. Exterior and interior changes will be minimal, much like the ones seen on the new 911 and Boxster models.

As with the Boxster, the Cayman will be powered by a 2.7 liter engine that delivers a total of 265 HP, while the S version will get a 3.4 liter version with 315 HP. Both versions can be combined with either a manual six-speed gearbox as standard or a seven-speed Porsche->ke1 Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option. The S version will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds, while top speed will be in the 175 mph area.

Expect to see the new generation Porsche Cayman launched in the coming weeks.
