‘Carwow’ is known for its car reviews and drag races, but this time, the team decided to do something different. They engaged in a tug-of-war with three American trucks – the Chevy Silverado, the Ford F-150 Raptor, and the Ram 3500 HD. Which of these do you think emerges as the winner?
What Powers These Trucks?
The Silverado and the F-150 Raptor weigh the same 5,732 pounds (2,600 kilos), whereas the Rap 3500 HD is heavier, tipping the scales at 7,496 pounds (3,400 kilos).
The Raptor’s Extra Torque Worked In Its Favor
The first tug-of-war round was between the Silverado and the F-150 Raptor. Both of them had enough pulling power to make sure this round is competitive, but the Raptor’s extra torque and perhaps better grip came into play as it managed to slowly pull the Silverado towards it to get a win.
Easy-Peasy For The Ram 3500 HD
The next round was between the F-150 Raptor and the Ram 3500 HD. It seems a little unfair and was surely going to be a one-sided round. Well, you can call this a warm-up for the Ram truck. When the war started, it managed to tug and pull the F-150 Raptor rather easily. The F-150 had absolutely no chance of giving any sort of competition to this beast.
To Make It A Fair Fight, Ram Faced Them Both… Together
So, for the next round, they decided to do a 2-on-1 handicap match, with the Ford and the Chevy going up against the Ram. The first round between them was a stalemate. All the trucks were pretty much digging the ground underneath the tires. They reset and began the next round, and it looked like the Ford F-150 got good traction here as managed to pull the Ram 3500 HD, with help from the Chevy, of course.
