For Mercedes-AMG, performance has a very long name: AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ E Performance. With 831 horsepower under the hood, it is the most powerful AMG production vehicle to date. But can the most powerful vehicle get even more powerful? Of course it can! When you ask the right guys to offer some proper changes, that is. This is exactly what the guys over at Opus did, whom, despite leaving the car's exterior look untouched, they managed to add a lot more under the hood. And they won't stop here!

What changes is OPUS offering for the AMG GT 63 S E-Performance?

From the factory, the AMG GT 63 S E-Performance is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine combined with an electric motor. The V-8 is responsible for delivering 630 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, while the electric motor adds another 201 horses and 236 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the system delivers a total of 831 horsepower and 1,033 pound-feet of torque, which sounds like a lot for a four-door coupe. But, as insane as it sounds, there is always room for more.

The guys over Opus prepared the first stage of upgrade for the GT 63 S 4MATIC+ E Performance. While there are no details on what these upgrades are, we know that in the end, the four-door coupe ends up delivering 952 horsepower and 1,143 pound-feet of torque. Out of the 952 horses, 748 come from the V-8 engine and 204 from the electric motor.

After all these changes, the AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ E Performance which weighs 2,400 kilos (5,920 pounds) sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds (down from 2.9 seconds), and to 200 km/h (124 mph) in a sensational 8.55 seconds - around one second faster than the production vehicle.

And OPUS will not stop here. According to the tuner, by the time the winter comes, it wants to break the 1,000-horsepower barrier for the model. It will also offer a special exhaust system that will further improve the sound of the V-8.

What other changes is OPUS offering?

There isn't much you can change when it comes to the look of the AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ E Performance, so the tuner left both the exterior and the interior untouched. However, it is offering an OBD lowering module that will allow the car's height to be adjusted in a matter of seconds from anywhere between 20 to 40 millimeters. The car is also equipped with a special exhaust flap control system.
