Forza Motorsport 6 is essentially a virtual playground where racing gamers of all shapes and sizes can enjoy the thrill and spectacle of racing without having to get off their couches. Every so often, Forza->ke3733 developer Turn 10 Studios releases a car pack to add variety to the existing cars that are already in the game. We’ve seen some pretty cool packs, including AlpineStars, G-Shock, and Mobil 1, among others. Now comes the newest car pack to hit Forza 6 and for fans of Hot Wheels, this one could turn into the best and most memorable one yet.

It’s called the Hot Wheels Car Pack and as the name implies, it comes with a sweet roster of seven cars that will excite fans of the iconic die-cast toy brand. Three of the cars in the pack are actual production vehicles, including the 2015 BMW X6M, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport, and the 2017 Ford Focus RS, arguably the most highly anticipated performance hatchback of this decade. The car pack is already a must-have on these three cars alone, but the real highlights of this particular pack are the McLaren P1 GTR, the 1990 Ferrari #1 Scuderia Ferrari 641 race car->ke148 and most importantly, two of the most famous Hot Wheels models in history – the 2005 Ford Hot Wheels Mustang and the 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker.

Those familiar with the two Hot Wheels cars will remember the 2005 Mustang->ke428 as the special edition ‘Stang that Hot Wheels built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic muscle car.->ke507 And how about Bone Shaker? Regarded as the ultimate rat-rod, Bone Shaker is arguably one of the most famous models Hot Wheels has ever created. It figures that if there was ever a car that deserved to be included in Forza Motorsport 6, it had to be Bone Shaker.

If anybody’s interested in availing the Hot Wheels Car Pack, it’s already available for download at a price of just $7. Unfortunately, holders of the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass won’t receive this pack for free. There is, however, an opportunity to forego the entire pack and just pick individual cars.

Why it matters

I’ve bought a couple of these car packs and every time they’ve delivered the goods. The G-Shock pack and the AlpineStars pack, in particular, are favorites of mine. But I’ll be honest, it looks like I’m going to have a new favorite pack once I’m finished downloading this one.

Every car in the list is a car I’m excited to drive. Okay, maybe I’m not that too excited about the X6M, but the other six cars are going to be a ball of fun to play with. Special mentions go to the Focus RS, the P1 GTR, and the Scuderai Ferrari 641, but the two I’m really looking forward to driving are the pair of Hot Wheels cars, specifically Bone Shaker. I can’t say what I like most about this car. Maybe it’s the iconic skull face with the hands gripping the headlights. Maybe it’s the exposed straight pipes. Maybe it’s even the skull-and-crossbones steering wheel. Whatever it is, I’m ready to sign up and buy the pack so I can see for myself why Bone Shaker has earned the reputation that it has to become just one of a handful of Hot Wheels models to get real-life and virtual versions.

Oh, and if anybody’s interested, the official Hot Wheels logo is now available in the Forza Motorsport 6 livery editor. That should make the fun of customization more enjoyable for those who choose to use it.
