We can all agree that the automotive scenery is changing rapidly with the increasing demand for more eco-friendly vehicles. In times when big V-12s and supercharged V8s are coming to an end, many are wondering if there will be a place for exclusive high-performance vehicles. Legendary designers Peter Brock and Ian Callum have teamed up to put these trepidations to rest. They did so by announcing the first-ever hyper-classic vehicle.

The car in question will be a symbiosis of classic sports car design and modern propulsion.

The car will reportedly have a power output of 1,200 horsepower (895 kilowatts) to 2,000 horsepower (1,491 kilowatts), so it will perform as well as it will look.

The aesthetics are based on the 1963 C2 Corvette. Moreover, the rendering shows the split rear window variant, which was one of the most sought-after back in the day. Peter Brock has a special connection to the Corvette since, in 1957, he drew a sketch of what eventually became the C2 Corvette Stingray. At the time, he was also the youngest designer at General Motors.

Ian Callum has an equally impressive resume, having designed cars like the Ford RS200, Escort Cosworth, Jaguar XK, Aston Martin Vanquish, and others.

The car will not be just for show. People who have previously worked on cars like the Jaguar C-X75 and Aston Martin Rapide-E are involved in the project, so you can be sure there’s some epic automotive witchcraft happening behind the scenes.

More details will be coming as the official introduction gets closer. For now, we know that the car will be produced in Ireland and will have a price of $1.4 million to $2.4 million, depending on the spec.
