Barring its concept cars, Subaru isn’t exactly known for pumping out gorgeous exterior designs. Functional? Dependable? Fast? Yes to all three, but either way, styling remains a real weak area for the Six Star brand. Unfortunately, the Impreza Casa Blanca is proof positive of that, and it quite possibly takes the cake for ugliest production car ever.

Apparently, Subaru decided to update the 1999 and 2000 model year Impreza with this hideous body kit to capitalize on a renewed interest in retro cars. Incredibly, upwards of 5,000 examples of the Casa Blanca were built. Luckily, this monstrosity was relegated to the JDM market only, which means those of us residing in the U.S. don’t risk losing our lunch after accidently seeing one of these things out on the road.

Just look at that front end and those taillights! The whole thing is a mishmash of contradictory styles, botched together by groan-worthy details that make us want to run for the hills. It’s slow too, mounting a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter boxer four in its deformed nose.

What do you think, dear reader? Is this indeed the ugliest car ever made, or is there something else out there that’s even worse? Let us know in the comments!
