• Veritas RS III supercar wrecked in test drive

We’ve all done it. Stopped by a dealership that has cars that are way out of your price range and taken a test drive. Unfortunately two German men didn’t know what they were getting themselves into when they begged to take out the 420bhp Veritas RS III worth almost half a million dollars.

Fans Martin Holtz and Friedrich Voller were able to persuade the manager of the shop keeping the prototype to let them take it for a spin. Although the Veritas RS III does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, Holtz and Voller found out that that time can be severely lengthened if you don’t avoid lampposts. Police now have the two men in custody after they were spotted trying to flee the wreck of the supercar. "The car is immensely powerful and they grossly overestimated their driving skills," said a police spokesman.

Mechanics are currently trying to salvage the wrecked car. So next time the salesperson asks to come with you on the drive, thank these guys for ruining it for everyone.

That’s why I love the Germans. If this happened in the U.S. the guys who wrecked the car would have probably tried to sue garage for letting them take out such a "dangerous" car
