We've already seen the BMW M5->ke2922 testing and taking a pit stop at a rest area, but ow we have actual footage of the M5 as it whips around the track at the Nurburgring. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the sports sedan wasn't rumored to be the most memorable M5 to date. Yeah, supposedly, it's that good.

The first "M5 Concept" version will be showcased at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show->ke228 and will be a near production identical version of the car set to make its world debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Deliveries in Europe will begin in November 2011, while US customers will get it in the spring of 2012.

The car will put out 25% less C02 than the current model and will feature a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that will put out around 555 HP which will make it more powerful than the old version. The chassis will likely be aluminum and there should be loads of carbon fiber parts. The new M5 will also get an electronically controlled limited slip differential and Dynamic Performance Control.
