The next-generation Porsche Cayman -- the 981 series – will make its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Despite Porsche’s secretive nature, the sports coupe has been caught testing somewhere in a district of Stuttgart, Germany, and this time around it was nearly undisguised. The best part of this find is that, for the first time ever, you can get good look at the Cayman’s interior. To no surprise, it is pretty much identical to the one seen in the new Boxster.

The 981 Cayman->ke5 will come with a choice of two engines: the base Cayman will get a 2.7-liter six-cylinder that delivers a total of 265 horsepower and the S version will receive a 3.4-liter powerplant with 315 ponies.

The final countdown to the L.A. Auto Show has begun, and the veil will be lifted off of the next-gen Cayman in just two days. Stay tuned for all of the juicy details that will start pouring in soon.
