The new Camaro Z/28 announces itself to be an amazing muscle car, but how is it when put next to its competition? This is the question Chevrolet wanted to answer, so it took a brand new Z/28 and put it face to face to a Mustang Boss 302. Why Boss 302 and not Shelby GT500? Well, because according to Chevrolet->ke199, the Boss 302 is the fastest Mustang on the track.

The test was made at GM’s high-security MRC road course in Milford, Michigan, and, as no surprise, the track-oriented Camaro ->ke248 dominates the Boss 302 in almost every area. You do have to remember that the test was made by Chevrolet and its car needed to be better.

We have to admit however, that the new Camaro Z/28 was specially designed to dominated the muscle car segment: it lightweight, nimble and incredibly powerful. It also lapped the Nurburgring in 7:37.40 - which makes it very fast!
