Gran Turismo 6 may have scored a nice coup when BMW->ke178 agreed to debut the M4 Coupe in the game,, but one competing video game franchise saw it as an opportunity to call GT6's marketing score with one of its own.

In an announcement that was as pleasant as it was surprising, Need for Speed Rivals made its own recently-launched-car debut when the 2015 Ford Mustang became available in the game.

For what it's worth, the 2015 Mustang is car tailor-made for a game like NFS Rivals, which possibly explains why the developers wasted little time putting installing it in the game. You can drive the Mustang->ke428 as either a cop or a racer, two things the all-new pony car is well-versed at. And unlike GT6, or GT6, for that matter, driving skills sometimes takes a backseat to all-out mayhem in Forza 5.

So if you're running roughshod, steering clear of law enforcement authorities, or doing the actual pursuing of racers, the addition of the 2015 Ford Mustang in Need for Speed will make playing the game that much more enjoyable.

The preview video of the muscle car->ke507 already makes it look at home in the Forza 5 franchise. Imagine what you can do with it once you get your hands on the game.

Need for Speed is already on shelves for the PS4->ke4615 and XBox->ke3732 One with the 2015 Mustang likewise available to download.
