Just like every other oxygen-breathing male on this planet, we’d kill to get a chance to ride a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. But while some of us would have to shell out a king’s ransom for that opportunity, some of us get to do it without spending a penny on their dime. Heck, they even get paid to do it.

Autoblog’s Chrs Paukert got that chance when he was given an opportunity to drive an SLS AMG across Mexico and parts of Central America. And to make this trip just a little more memorable, the SLS AMG was joined by no less than the original Mercedes-Benz 300 SL->ke1995, which, if you care to notice, still runs about as smoothly as any fully-restored car from the 1950’s can run.

Check out the two videos and know that even if they run about a good 13 minutes combined, it’s still going to be the best-used 13 minutes you’ll spend today. That is, if you don’t stop at the middle of the video out of sheer hatred and jealousy for Mr. Paukert.
