A few days ago, we brought you spy shots of the upcoming BMW M3, but today, we’ve found something better. Bimmer Post has captured the future M3 testing and was able to shoot a video revealing the extraordinary sound of the engine.
It was previously believed that the 2014 BMW M3 would use a fresh 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine equipped with three turbos - one of which would be powered by electricity. Now rumors are leaning more towards a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine that is currently under development. Whichever path BMW ended up taking, the 450 HP supposedly found under the hood were caught ripping out of the exhaust, creating low and thunderous sounds. It’s music to our ears, but why don’t you turn up the volume and take a listen for yourself.
