Inside Line was front and center at the official unveiling of the BMW Concept Gran Coupe at the Beijing Motor Show. Check out how the unveiling went from only a few feet away.

We gotta say that the simple yet mysterious approach BMW used to unveil the car worked out pretty well and we’d also like to give these guys a couple of cheers for having something worthwhile to show in Beijing. We were actually afraid that the auto show would be full of those local "clones" we’ve been talking about the past few days, so seeing the BMW Concept Gran Coupe in Beijing was a welcome breath of fresh - and original - air.

As BMW is one of the last luxury manufacturers to offer a four-door coupe it wont be a surprise to find a production version of this concept rolling off the production lines within the coming years. Check out the link to see BMW’s full press release and some more tasty pictures.

That was a pretty cool opening, the concept shows a sporty design that sits four inches flatter than the 5 and 7 Series, whilst giving a glimpse at what the next-generation 6 Series will look like.
