With the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show right around the corner, Cadillac->ke18 has become extremely busy with teasing the upcoming ATS-V Coupe. The automaker is probably ignoring the fact that the two-door is already all over the Interwebz thanks to a significant leak, but I'm not blaming it for remaining true to its intended release schedule. A previous teaser revealed the twin-turbo, 3.6-liter V-6 is quite a screamer, but this new video Cadillac just released provides us with some vital information about the coupe's performance.

The last footage was showing the ATS-V Coupe's exhaust system making all sorts of nasty noises, but this new teaser features the same vehicle charging from naught to 138 mph and then coming back down to a complete halt. Along with the run, Cadillac was nice enough to show the car's speed at the bottom of the video. This can only mean one thing; bring out the stopwatch for some 0-to-60 and 0-to-100-mph sprint fun.

If our measurements are accurate, the ATS-V Coupe needs around... wait for it... 3.3 to 3.5 seconds (depending on whose stopwatch you trust)! I'm not at all surprised this Caddy can hit the 60-mph benchmark in less than four seconds, but a low three-second sprint is downright amazing and equally confusing. Could the ATS-V be a half-second faster than a Corvette Stingray Z51 and 0.4 seconds quicker than the BMW M4? Also, the coupe takes only 8.6 seconds to accelerate to 100 mph, which means we might be looking at a 10-second, Challenger Hellcat-like quarter mile time. And let's face it, we're talking about some 450 horsepower vs 707 supercharged ponies.

Needless to say, this video proves that either GM->ke1024 is fudging its numbers, fudging its video, or this is one of the fastest machines in the GM stable. Either way, we should be able to solve this mystery soon enough when the ATS-V Coupe makes its official debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

We are a bit impatient though, so we already pinged GM to ask them about what our stop watch is telling us. Keep it here to find out the final numbers as soon as we get them.
