Now that Megan Fox is officially out of Transformers 3, she leaves behind a trail of devastated weeping males that are all trying to figure out how a two-and-half hour robot movie is going to feel like without their favorite piece of eye candy.

Well, if you’re paying close attention to the movie’s production, Fox’s absence shouldn’t be felt too bad by auto enthusiasts considering that Michael Bay finally decided to upgrade his new robots by bringing in a slew of supercars to play the roles of the peace-loving Autobots and the destruction-seeking Decepticons.

One car that’s scheduled to be in the movie and has gotten the public’s attention is the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept, a car that – in case you missed its designation – is not, nor will it ever be, production-ready because, well, it’s a “concept”.

But even if the car will only be subject to our imaginations, this video of it making an appearance at the Transformers set in downtown Chicago certainly got the gathered crowd oohing and aahing at the concept. One man – we’re guessing he’s the one with the video recorder – even had a nice line for the boys of Chevrolet who decided against putting the Stingray Corvette concept in production.

Listen up, Chevy. This dude knows what he’s talking about.

You never know. GM seems pretty pleased with the design, so much that this time they made an interior for it. I think there is a good chance for it to become the next gen Corvette. People seem to like it too - I would buy it.

Don’t expect this concept to spawn any sort of production vehicle, which, needless to say, is a shame."

Looks like it ran through under a semi trailer.

Oh Yeah, can’t wait to see it on the next movie installment. Expect more new cars and trucks bumping and fighting each other on the film.

Wonder who this one’s going to be. Sideswipe from Revenge of the Fallen is also a Corvette, so it might be him.

The rear fenders are exaggerated. the C5 was too much, the C6 is just on the acceptable side. and this concept is again, too much. The size-staggered wheels look necessary just to not look even more weird.

Awesome!...I’ll take two!I love the sinister tail lamps peeking from behind the texture, That’s the coolest badge ever, on the deck lid

I love the side view, but the front needs to be brought down to earth, and the rear needs to be tweaked a little, but other than that, this car is absolutely stunning. I love how it translates into the classic Stingray. GM, it’s time to get this into your lineup.

nice idea team transformers! Your concept of having the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will surely fit in the movie. And yes, even me, I will proudly state my ooh and aah for such a great idea.
