Unlike most endurance races Corvette Racing will be participating in this season, Long Beach offers a different set of challenges in that it’s a two-hour slugfest that puts strategic aggression into the forefront compared to the tactical and methodical approach needed in other races. Worst of all, the track is one of the most unforgiving on the calendar with the slightest mistake capable of wiping out a good run in the blink of an eye.

In the latest episode of Track to Street, the team pretty much had their hands full with one of their cars, the No. 3 Corvette, starting dead last on the grid.

After an eventful race full of twists and turns, the No. 4 Corvette came out in second place with some dings and scratches to show for it. All in all, the conclusion was all they could have hoped for given the struggles the team faced amidst the less-than-stellar conditions.

Check out the video to see how the team fared at Long Beach.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

They almost made it to the top but not quite. By the way, Chevrolet just proved that they can make it in a race, especially with this known Long Beach race. For me, It is the best season of Corvette Racing.

It seems that the Corvette Racing has a lot of moolah to join in the Long Beach! I bet they have spent over million dollars on each vehicle. Winning in a rank between 1-5 really is a great honor for every driver!

I like more the season 1 of the Chevrolet Racing to compare to this season. During the first season, they try to feature the people that have a connection in the race and not only in the car itself. However, the preceding season focus only in the race.

The race was tough and there are a lot of good competitor in the Long Beach competition. The track is getting hotter with those high speed performing cars. I guess the Abarth won the first place but I agree that winning the second and fifth place is really great honor.

It feels like a typical street race . However, those grid in the track seems deadly and I bet with a wrong turn a crash may happen. And its quite impressive that the car diver #4 have beat the Porsche car!

I’m really proud seeing the Corvette drivers! The race requires a strategical tactics and approach in order to win the race. And the most impressive part is that they manage to keep their endurance until the race finish!

I have read an information about the estimated lifetime cost of a formula vehicle and I would say that its equivalent to a tons of dollar! I wonder if same thing goes in the Track to Street?

Being a race car driver is such a crazy job but fun. Imagine, they got a chance to
drive this awesome wheels and nothing else to be anxious expect for concentrating for the whole course. And I’m also proud to the team that fixes and maintain this race cars.

haha. Wow! That’s a good idea to see this car with the speed like a blink of an eye! I just wonder on how the race will end.

The episodes are getting more exciting!BTW, this Corvette model reminds me of the Stingray concept, and I can see on how the team creative work hard to make this car performs well.

After all the technical things that they have shown us in the past few episodes, it’s really nice that they gave us some racing action this time around. The clip was really a nice one.

Does anyone heard about the latest production for Chevy Corvette? Well, I’m excited to see this car race in Corvette racing. If I’m not mistaken they are going to use the engine of the viper I bet that would be so exciting.

Well, whoever the driver is, we really need to applaud the guy. For one, it is really quite hard to make the most out of the Corvette’s power, but he was able to do it.

Yes, I agree with you on that though I think it should much better if the race will focus in the race though I find the show interesting.

Yeah, I would agree with that one. While they do make sure that the car that they will be using is of top caliber, they also ensure that the driver that they will be getting does have the skills.

This is the thing that I like about the Corvette race, they never focused them self in the race it self but also the man behind the races.

Just a question here, who was the driver of the car? That guy is certainly a talented one to be able to pull off that come from behind win.

Wow, that one definitely is a heck of a race. Imagine that, they were able to pull off a second place finish despite starting last in the grid.
