We all know that Chris Harris often is one of the first to get his hands on the latest and greatest road-going cars in the world. However, he does occasionally get a crack at a racecar. And in the latest episode of Drive he got the chance to drive one of the best race cars in the world, at least according to him: the new McLaren 12C GT3.
The MP4-12C GT3 is powered by a race-prepped 3.8-liter, V-8 twin-turbo engine featuring McLaren Electronics ECU interfacing with Bosch ABS and Shiftec transmission control units. When compared to the road-going version, the GT3 version received a revised aerodynamics package that includes a new front splitter, front and rear diffuser and a huge, fully adjustable rear wing.
The MP4-12C GT3 is priced at $500,000, and according to Chris, it is the best toy to play with. Check him out testing the new GT3 on a race track in Woking, UK.
