Christian Gebhardt from Sport Auto has made quite an impressive testing for the 2012 Corvette ZR1, Z06 Centennial Edition and the Grand Sport. Talking to WCF he said that the ZR1 was one of the fastest supercars they have tested this past year on the small circuit at Hockenheim. With a lap time of 1.08 minutes, the ZR1 was fastest than models like Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 or McLaren MP4-12C.

The ZR1 they have tested has been equipped with the new PDE-ZR1 High Performance Package and a short-throw manual transmission with closer gear ratios than the standard ZR1. The car has been also put to a 0-331-0 km/h high speed braking test in order to prove the higher grip level of the Michelin semislicks.

He also confirmed that both the other two Corvettes scored some impressive results, but unfortunately he did not offered any details on them.
