With 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet at its disposal, you might be tempted to believe the Dodge Challenger Hellcat would be great in a drag race, but fall down when presented with a sharp corner. It isn't as crisp as a Porsche 911, but the Challenger Hellcat is more than just a road-legal drag car. We even have the video->ke278 to prove it. Just whatch this Hellcat get unleashed on Michigan's Grattan Raceway.

The muscle car->ke507 is being driven by SRT boss Ralph Gilles himself, who is trying to reel in a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon. Even crazier is the fact that the CTS is earing racing slicks, and the Hellcat is rolling in street-legal rubber. Towards the end of the video Gilles manages to pull that wagon in; quite the achievement considering the CTS-V's renowned driving dynamics and tire advantage. Sure, you can clearly see the Hellcat is struggling through the corners as that supercharged V-8 are does its best to send the car sideways, but the still proves that this beefed-up Challenger can be quite competitive at a track weekend.

Not surprising, Gilles claims the highlight of the video is not the track action, but the Hellcat's engine note. We tend to agree, but his eagerness to blow past the CTS-V Wagon is more than obvious. Press the play button above to watch all the action.
