I don’t know if you guys have been paying attention, but the top shelf of the supercar world is simply insane right now. Between four-figure output numbers, seven-figure price tags, and designs pulled from the brains of aerospace engineers, these machines bring enough hype to wake the dead. Such is the case with the 2020 Pininfarina PF0 Battista, an all-electric Italian stallion capable of hitting 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and topping out at 250 mph. But while specs like these make for great headlines, there’s a whole lot more to unwrap here. As such, Donut Media made this informative sub-9-minute video.

A New Supercar For A New Age

First off, the video featured above is shot in Geneva, Switzerland, mere hours before the Battista’s debut. Donut Media got up close and personal with the supercar prior to the big sheet pull, giving us a nice rundown on what makes it so flippin’ awesome.

The video begins with a little background on Pininfarina and its illustrious history. Take a quick look at the company’s resumé, and you’ll see a long list of design credits tagged to some of the most iconic sports cars in the world, including Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, Lancias, Jaguars, and many, Donut Media more.

Indeed, Pininfarina’s design chops are rather impressive, and the Battista provides even further evidence of such. However, this EV is more than just a few brilliant pen strokes. It’s actually Pininfarina’s first standalone model, bearing no other marque’s badge on the nose. Named after Pininfarina’s founder, the Battista announces to the world that the iconic design house is stepping up its game to challenge the world’s automakers at every turn.

The video includes a number of very tasty shots of the Battista’s exterior, as well as a few interesting specs and details, including info on the Brembo brakes, wheels, and tires.

We also get a number of slick interior shots, revealing a cabin space that mates old-school and new-school cues thanks to acres of leather with a trio of digital screens.

Under the streamlined body panels is a Rimac-sourced powertrain, as well as oodles of carbon fiber, from the monocoque, to the battery housing. The aero is cutting-edge motorsport stuff, pushing the EV into the pavement for even more stick than the gummy P Zero tires and torque vectoring system already provide.

The video even delves into how Pininfarina made the electric powertrain many good. Yep, you read that right - an EV that sound.

All told, electric vehicles are here in a big, sounds good way, and Pininfarina is at the forefront of the revolution thanks to the new Battista.
