The new LaFerrari supercar made its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, but it looks like Ferrari decided to keep quite, as we haven’t heard much else on it since then. Lucky for us, as Ferrari decides to keep secrets, we have YouTube user Marchettino who managed to catch the supercar testing at the famous Fiorano racetrack.

The car caught testing appears to be just a mule, but since we know how the LaFerrari looks, we really don’t mind. What this video offers us is an up-close listen to just how sweet the LaFerrari sounds under accelerations and bot does that V-12 engine sound nothing short of bad-ass.

The LaFerrari is powered by a HY-KERS system that combines a 6.3-liter V-12 engine with two electric motors — one motor powers the driven wheels and the second drives the ancillaries. This system delivers a total of 963 horsepower and sprints the supercar up to a top speed of 217 mph.
