Ah yes, the 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, a car so nice, you have to name it twice. This is the Italian entry in the hybrid hypercar battle between the Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1, and as expected, everything about it is turned up to 11. Output is rated at 963 combined horsepower from the 6.3-liter V-12 and HY-KERS double electric-motor->ke1030 system, which is enough to move the 2,767-pound exotic to extreme performance figures, like a 0-to-60 time under three seconds and top speed of 217 mph. The body is shaped from composites and features more wind tunnel tweaks than some military aircraft, and the suspension is so well sorted that hard cornering might result in the momentary creation of a wormhole. Production is limited to just 499 units, and anyone lucky enough to purchase one will need to fork over well over a million dollars U.S. for ownership privileges.

Of course, regular folks like you and I will probably never get within spitting distance of a machine as glamorous as the Ferrari->ke252 squared. But don’t fret, we can still live vicariously through the broadcasts of YouTube stars like Shmee150.

True to the Shmee-style you’ve come to expect, our favorite supercar->ke177 bloodhound is up close and personal with one of Maranello’s finest to give us a quick look at some of the details, including the aero, the interior, and of course, a few revs of that beastly V-12.

This machine is so crazy, it makes the Pagani->ke66, Maserati->ke51, and Enzo->ke389 parked next to it look almost tame by comparison. This video is definitely worth a click for three and a half minutes of “if only”.
