Ford->ke31 is teasing the world about an upcoming model due out November 17, just one day before the Los Angeles Auto Show.->ke211 The video above shows some darkened details of alloy pedals (of the manual variety), double-spoke wheels, an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, a mesh grille, some sticky tires, a “Powered By Ford” valve cover, and what appears to be a sloping roofline that flows into a rear deck lid.

Could this be the Mustang GT350?->ke1359 The evidence seems to suggest it.

The video starts off coyly enough with several Ford brass talking about the brand’s racing heritage and its commitment to success. “It’s very important for us to have the street cred to be able to back up what you see in our vehicles in terms of performance with actual results in how we do in racing around the world,” says Ford CEO Mark Fields. “We can compete with anybody – and win.”

Those are bold words concerning Ford’s ability to provide the best vehicles to consumers. We can only cross our fingers that Ford is bringing an answer to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Besides the shadowy details, the classic Ford font used for the date “11.17.14” in the last few seconds of the video is rather similar to the “GT350” font leaked out by Ford back in August. What’s more, the double-spoke wheel seen in the video is similar to the ones seen on the test mule lapping the Nürburgring.

The evidence is piling up, but the days are counting down. Get ready for Ford to make a bold move.
