Video: Gran Turismo 5 PS3 Commercial

Okay all you die hard Gran Turismo fans, here’s the first commercial for the much anticipated Gran Turismo 5 due out in just a matter of days - November 24th to be exact. That is, unless something random happens and the game is postponed yet again, but we’re going to stick with optimism at this point.

When it is finally on the shelves, the game will cost $59.99, which is a great deal for a game that is said to be the best racing game the world has ever seen. If you will pay an extra $99, then you’ll also get a book on racing techniques, five DLC cars, a keychain, and a 1:43 scale diecast car.

Of course, all those knick-knacks will come secondary to the long list of 1,000 cars Gran Turismo will feature. Among that list is the Mercedes SLS AMG, Audi R8 V10, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette ZR1 and many, many others. Since a lot of us will never actually get the chance to sit behind the wheel of the real live versions of these cars, we’ll settle for kicking some butt with them in GT5! This will be especially true since Sony, Polyphony Digital, and Nissan have launched the GT Academy 2010. This academy tests the mad driving skills of gamers everywhere as they battle it out in GT5 to win a once in a lifetime opportunity to train with elite race car drivers at international tracks and race as part of a professional team.

Wonder when we can start to wait in line?

Well, I have to say that I’m impressed with this game. The GT5 has tons of new features, and I find it more interesting and exciting.

And the fact he used a Honda NSX-R in GT4, a car that in real life has similar performance to a 996 911 GT3, and used a far, far slower Acura NSX when he was at Laguna Seca.

Thats what kept me puzzled because i know that porche is those other games so why wouldnt they want to go into grand turismo? I mean they would simply get more money and fans for their cars so I dont understand their reasoning but anyways thanks for the answer!

you are correct there is no Porsche in gt5, it because Porsche wouldn’t give gt5 the license to put their car in what i found on (it a good site for all GT news)

Unfortunately, he(Yamauchi) also confirmed that Porsche have chosen not to join the Gran Turismo series, signing an “exclusive arrangement” with other parties. That’s strange, though, because we already know that Porsche’s cars will be in both the upcoming Forza 3 and Need for Speed: Shift - games made by two different publishers. It looks like the mystery surrounding Porsche and their involvement (or lack thereof) with the GT series will continue to puzzle us fans for quite some time. Perhaps, one day, we will learn the full story…

Can someone give me an answer to this question: Why when I was looking through the official list of cars available in the gt5 I couldnt find any porsches??? I mean in this new gt5 game they have gone so far to add all the awesome cars to the game like ferrari, lamborghini, and even a bugatti veyron but they dont have any porsches. Porsche is one of the worlds top sports cars but it didnt get into this game so why is that? Correct me if I’m wrong about porsche not being in the game but I couldnt find it!
