Gran Turismo’s producer, Kazunori Yamauchi, recently showed off what his latest creation, combined with Sony’s latest hand held gaming system are capable of. Gran Turismo pushes the PSP to its limits, offering all the familiar game-play that brings racing enthusiasts coming back time and time again. The hand held version plays with stunning resolution at 60 frames per seconds, and the game will feature over 800 cars and 35 tracks to race on when it comes out on October 1, 2009.

Exciting news for fans of the home console based PS3 who are eagerly waiting for the fifth installment of Gran Turismo to hit retailers. Yamauichi promised that not only will gamers be able to take the real driving simulator with them wherever they go; he announced that GT5 will also be hitting stores on the same day, so remember, don't plan on doing anything until the second week of October.
