Heffner Performance is no stranger to fine-tuning sports cars so it really doesn’t surprise us every time these guys have a new toy to play with. With their plethora of Twin Turbo kits, there seems to be no end in sight for these guys when it comes to putting that extra oomph on any king of sportie they can get their hands on.

This time around, the tuning house’s sports car of choice is an Audi R8. Thanks to their magic, they were able to ramp up the ponies of this bad boy to an astounding 630 horsepower. Better than that, they even made a promo video of their latest creation, complete with the symphonic roar of that V8 twin-turbo engine.

So dial up the volume, put on the headsets, and click play. There’s no better way to enjoy the sound of a tuned-up sports car than having it close to your ears at high decibel levels.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Heffner know what they are doing. Swapping internals raises the price another $20,000 or so. Most likely they will have multiple stages of tune. Stock internals to keep price down, and full engine rebuilds that cost a lot more and make a lot more power. That is how they do it with the Viper.

but they are turbo charging a high compression motor. If they swapped our the internals, lowered the compression, (not sure what they are doing for an inter cooler), and did extensive fuel system mods,, then sure... this could be a 1000hp car.
