Video: Jay Leno meets Iconic AC Roadster

In the latest episode of his show, Jay Leno got behind the wheels of the new 2012 Iconic AC Roadster. The car was driven at the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance event in Florida where Jay Leno had the chance to talk with the guy responsible for this project.

AC Roadster is powered by a 7.0-liter V-8 from Ford’s SVO division that delivers 825 horsepower and 660 lb/ft of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Enough energy to sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds and to a top speed in excess of 200 mph.

The question remaining is if there will be enough people willing to pay $475,000 for a car that according to Jay May is not just another replica.

Is he being paid for this show? Or what was the incentive for him after this? Maybe he can take any luxurious cars he wanted. Oh, I’m getting envy now.

@Millano, you have a point. Jay Leno’s intention is not just to show off the cars but also make us drool as well. Great observation you have in here. I definitely would like to test drive this AC Roadster.

Leno alone certainly makes this video a great thing to watch. I really like the way he candidly presents the car to the audience. And yeah, the AC Roadster is a fitting feature.

Well, we can’t really blame the guy, he really loves cars just like the rest of us. It’s just that he actually has the money to get his hands on those models that he fancies.

Agreed with you on that one, why does he get to drive those beautiful cars while we don’t? Hehehe! But then again, it’s Leno’s job to make us drool on those cars.

Leno definitely deserves a whack in the head for making us drool a lot smiley Man, I am not really into vintage cars, but seeing him drive that baby makes me envious.

The name Iconic really fits in well with this one, since it lo9oks like one of those 70’s roadsters that were popular back then. And Leno is definitely the right one to talk about this baby.
