On paper, this match-up between a Lamborghini Gallardo and a scooter looks to be as lopsided an encounter the likes of which we haven’t seen since Randy Couture pummeled James Toney into submission a minute into their encounter in UFC 118 a month ago.

We already know what a Gallardo is capable of, but to even the playing field – somewhat, at least – the challenging scooter, dubbed the JetVespa, was outfitted with a rocket engine. Will the added power be enough for the diminutive JetVespa to stage an upset over the mighty Lamborghini on par with the 1980 Miracle On Ice?

In the interest of spoiler alerts, we won’t spare you the details because you have to watch the video to find out. We’ll tell you something, though. The Gallardo/JetVespa throw-down was a lot more competitive than we initially thought. Then again, it wouldn’t be as awesome if the result was predictable, right?

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Basically the JetVespa is much lighter compare to the Gallardo,so most probably the JetVespa will win.. just the same in any race track, the lighter the better..

Despite the fact that it was babied off the start. Why didn’t they give it some revs or use launch control (assuming it was e-gear equipped)?

Damn, that is sick. Love the crappy box that it’s attached to and the fact that the
brakes aren’t upgraded whatsoever
