We don’t know if British magazine, CAR, saw it coming, but they have released a video stacking the McLaren MP4-12C supercar against many of its rivals just in time for the announcement that the supercar has been sold out for the next three years.

In this video, the MP4-12C is pitted up against the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Audi R8 V10, the Mercedes SLS, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and the Lamborghini Gallardo Performante, all driven by Ex-Stig Ben Collins to make it as fair as possible. At the end of each drive, Collins goes into detail about each supercar, making this a must see!

So, is the McLaren MP4-12C all that it’s cracked up to be, or would people be better off purchasing one of the other supercars tested? Watch the video to see what a professional thinks, then tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Admittedly, this is the four big car brand in the industry. I have to say that these cars have an impressive performance as well as an elegant styling!

Well, I have to say that the race between the four is quiet impressive! And it seems that there is a continuous feud between the Italia and the 12C. I don’ t think that a car race would be solution to this fight!

Probably the car that would be a perfect match to the McLaren MP5-12C on this lot is the 458 Italia. They have almost the same power output and actually perform equally with each other.

The hottest and powerful super cars of all time facing McLaren MP4 12-C? I think that’s a very impressive idea. Well, as seen on the video, my favorite Ferrari 458 Italia wins the game. I was amazed that Audi R8 V10 defeats the Lamborghini Galardo Performante. It just shows that, the speed do not rely on the looks. Nice work Car Magazine Team!

I tell you, the 12C is the best one among these cars. Not only does it have great performance, it also has good looks to boot, which is why it is the star of this one.

I hope they do a lot more of these videos, this one is certainly fun to watch, especially with all those cars included. And I definitely have more love for the 12C now.

Ha, the video definitely showed why these cars are considered as some of the best around. But it seems that the 12C is actually the star of the night for this time around.

I have watched this video for several times now and I am still can’t imagine how they wee able to bring those car’s into this video, certainly a mean feet here.

@Dwight Steven I would definitely agree with you on that one. Actually, that’s the one thing that I really love about the 12C, the thing is simple looking, yet very powerful.

I gotta say that I was about as surprised with the outcome of this test as you can get!!! The 12C is so fast in a straight line that I thought it would destroy absolutely everything but the gt2 rs. I thought that if any car would be able to hold of the McLaren from winning would be the gt2 rs because of its Nurburgring world record lap time. So in my mind it was only a race between those two and next thing you know the McLaren ends up at almost the back of the pack. Thats kind of a shame, all that straight line speed but even a pro like the stig cant make it go faster that its less powerful competitors! Another surprise for me was that the lambo which was the only convertible car of the group beat the 12C - and let just repeat this again: ITS A CONVERTIBLE!!! As we all know here the convertible version of any car is a lot slower around a track than its coupe version so this is just crazy! If only they brought the gallardo superleggera, then judging from the fact that its over 300 pounds lighter than the performante, my guess is that it would beat the 458 italia with no problem around this track. Go Lambo!

Wow, this one is just epic coolness. I really don’t care which of these beauties would win. All that matters to me is that I get to see them compete with each other.

OK, I would say that this one is definitely a dream match. Imagine that, all those major supercars in just one video, that one nearly made me wet my pants in sheer excitement.

Although, this car has a better interior that the 458 Italia I still choose it over the latter for I think this Ferrari car is kind of bloat loaded whereas the 12C is simple and to the point.

The carbon fiber chassis that that was used in this car is amazing. Well, I guess that helps to make this car acquire a 592 horsepower and top speed of 205 hp! Its torque helps that car to perform like a rocket speed. And as quoted by the Top Gear, "The 12C is quite simply an astonishing piece of engineering".

Cars are faster with traction control off. If the car has a switch to turn it off then they will do that. The McLaren doesn’t have that ability. Another reason, besides the looks, that I wouldn’t buy one.

No fair competition why turn of the traction controls for some cars???
