Supercar duels are some of the most exciting confrontations we can watch nowadays, even if we’re talking about short, quarter-mile races. We’ve seen a great deal of modern supercars pitted against each other in a straight line, including the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. But what happens when these spectacular machines are lined up against a super-fast motorcycle?

If you’re wondering why anyone would race a supercar against a motorcycle, we don’t have a solid argument for you other than it would be an interesting race. The folks over at Autocar, on the other hand, brought in a Ducati 1199 Superlegerra to take on the P1 and the 918 Spyder after Ferrari refused to provide a LaFerrari for a three-way supercar battle. At least the Ducati and a Ferrari have two things in common, they’re both red and Italian.

Jokes aside, the three vehicles were used in a full-mile drag race to see which is quicker to 200 mph and which completes the mile-long run the fastest.
