In 1998, Mercedes->ke187 unveiled the CLK-GTR. This car was specifically designed for the FIA GT1 championship, but was also produced for street purposes. This supercar ended up having 26 road variants; 20 coupes and 6 roadsters. The CLK-GTR was powered by a V12 mid-engine delivering a total of 612 HP and 731 NM of torque. The supercar had a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 215 mph. This supercar was so exclusive that back in 2008, a coupe and a roadster were auctioned off for a combined price of £1.1 million. The 2005 CLK GTR Coupe sold for £522,500, while the 2006 Roadster version fetched a pretty cool £616,000. Some would say this was a bargain considering the elite class these models stand in. Hey, if we were lucky enough to have the funds to back up that kind of purchase, we would have done it too.Back to the video.
