There’s no question that the pinnacle of racing video games is still Gran Turismo 5, but its Xbox counterpart, Forza 4, is giving the long-standing champion a serious run for its pixels.

The latest edition of the Forza franchise promises to be slicker and more awesome than its predecessors with Microsoft offering a few new additions and surprises, the most important being the inclusion of their breathtaking new tie-in: the Kinect.

The Kinect system allows gamers to be able to play games without the use of any controllers. As a system that takes into account the player’s movements, the integration of Kinect to Forza 4 allows gamers to race their cars simply by putting their hands in the "10 and 2 o’clock positions" and navigating the steering wheel as such. All the movements - be it bobs, weaves, or side glances - is captured by Kinect. In addition to that, the whole system integration also allows for us to take walking tours of our cars, including opening the doors and hopping inside.

Needless to say, the whole Kinect-factor for Forza 4 is a huge bonus for the game as it continues its ascent to the top of the auto racing video game ladder.

Kirby’s first exposure into the world of automobiles happened when he caught Knight Rider on television as a five-year old boy. David Hasselhoff didn’t leave much of an impression on him (that happened later on in Baywatch), but KITT certainly did. To this day, Kirby remains convinced that he will one day own a car with the same ‘spirit’ as the original KITT (not the 2008 monstrosity). He doesn't know when that will be, but until then, he’s committed to expressing his love for KITT, and all cars for that matter, here at TopSpeed.  Read More

Hmm, as far as I know, there are really isn’t a lot of games yet that are compatible with the Kinect yet. So I am not really sure if it would be worth the purchase. But it seems to be an interesting one.

Hmm, that one would be a good development. Though I find it a bit odd to be playing without using any controller and simply moving my hands around. Maybe I still need to get used to that Kinect thing.

Wow! This is great! This Kinect really has a wonderful features and attachments. Just by watching the video, I can literally say that this application or game is the most wonderful racing game that been built by Microsoft. Plus using the Forza 4 is really a brilliant idea...

Well, this is not the first time that we have seen this features. Actually in the Need for Speed before they offers the same accessories for the car game as a alternative for controllers.
