For the last seven years, the Nissan GT-R->ke1592 has been terrorizing tracks, road courses, and local surface streets with its powerful, twin-turbo, 3.8-liter V-6 and all-wheel-drive. Now for 2015, Nissan->ke62 had released the Nismo version -- an amped up GT-R kicking out 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque; not to mention extra special bodywork that keeps the car planted at high speeds.

Well Steve Sutcliffe of Autocar got behind the wheel of a GT-R Nismo to see if the new high-performance package was everything it’s cracked up to be. How does it handle on the track? Does the new equipment make the car too hard for the everyday commute? Sutcliffe answers those questions in the video while giving us plenty of slow-motion sideways shenanigans to drool over.

According to Sutcliffe as he pummels through some winding English roads, the GT-R works wonderfully at cornering perfectly flat and very predictably. Not understeer at all. And that’s just in comfort mode. Pulling onto the track and set to Race Mode, the GT-R outshines its past iterations by blowing away corner apexes and straight line pull-aways.

So before I spoil all the fun, go watch the video and enjoy the videography for yourself.
